Mindanao Pop Idol Circle shines

FINALISTS of the Cagayan de Oro-based Mindanao Pop Idol Circle are now doing the gig circuit all over Northern Mindanao.

Mindanao Pop Idol Circle host Darnel Cabañeros in an interview said the television contest is divided into two categories - the teen division and the junior division.

The junior division sand and danced contemporary tracks and original ones during the opening of Kiddy Art Attack! Saturday.

Art Attack is a painting exhibit for kids ongoing at Museo de Oro. 
The young painters were delighted to see fellow kids.

Cabañeros said they get to be invited in such events not just here in the city but all over Northern Mindanao.

Even in its infancy - the contest is barely on its first year - Mindanao Pop Idol Circle already boasts of its own album composed of 18 original tracks with a bonus of 16 minus-one cuts to the delight of every karaoke-loving person.

Twenty two-year-old Cabañeros, a fresh Education graduate of Xavier University and now a teacher at Xavier University Grade School, even graciously belted out a number during the exhibit opening.

The Mindanao Pop Idol Circle eliminations started last January in RMN.

Grand finals will be this November.
